Still super busy with school and work.  i managed to get a design for a Business Card on the fly.  i’m pretty happy with it, check it out!

i don’t think i’ve made this ultimately public yet, i am talking with a representative from districtlines.com, a part of aktenterprises and they are offering me a storefront with them.  that means that they will do all of the things that one may deem behind the scenes; that means, printing/manufacturing, storefront/website and shipping.  of course they take a cut of revenue, but this also means i can print anything i want as long as they think it’s as badass as i do.  SWEET!  i will be making an order when my next paycheck get’s directly deposited into the digital world of my bank account.  woot!

pics…

i might make the information a little bigger–and of course it will change when i get the url of my storefront from districtlines.com…  double woot!

The first batch is for sale!

chea.  this is just a little taste.  i’ve been playing around with my new brushes and Adobe CS4 that i just recently, as in today, found miraculously in my neighbor’s trashcan!  …or did i?

so i have the first three designs ready for print.  i just ordered the shirts today and they should be here by wednesday, then i’ll print them over the weekend.

for the sean bradley shirts, i bought 24 jerzeez 29M, or 50/50 cotton/polyester blend.  they are nice shirts that i’ve tested already and they hold up well to repeated wash.

for the monstar shirts; redesigned cityscape and working man on the run, i bought 12 royal apparel 100% combed ringspun cotton fine jerseys.  these are more expensive than the jerzeez and have a much softer feel and different fit–I HOPE!!!  i based my selection off of other people’s experiences on t-shirtforums.com.

i also have a new ink.  i bought some Nazdar 9500 series aquaprint waterbased ink.  this is supposed to…hmm, how do i put this…  “melt into the fabric.”  making it seem like the ink is part of the fabric, not just a layer on top, like plastisol ink does.  i’ve only tested it a little bit and it has worked out pretty good so far; so i’m crossing my fingers for a 20+ shirt job.

so check out my thangs.  i bought a “pool” colored shirt from royal.  the sean bradley shirts will be white.  i have white and black ink and will determine which looks best.  i will definitely do the cityscape in white.

self explanitory.  leave comments if you like.

i was all amped up last night because i got my equipment back and i was about to finish a customer’s order.  well, the world wasn’t cool with that and told me no.

i stored my finished screen in a cardboard box on styrofoam peanuts and they stuck to the emulsion, which must have been like 95% dry; i’m not even sure…maybe just being pressed up to one another for weeks stuck them together.  i tried to get the styrofoam off and, haha, it was a disaster.  i’ll post some pictures later so you can check it out.
