My Struggle for a girl Design

Getting epic proportions ready.
June 13, 2008
I really haven’t done much since the past post… well, actually, after i typed that, i actually have. i conjured up a butt load of different shirts and this is what i worked with and how they performed:
hanes comfort soft tagless 6.1 oz-this seems to be a great shirt. it is soft, it feels strong and there is no tag. the ink stayed 100% after 3 washes and the shirt stiffened just a tad but didn’t seem to shrink at all. i think it stiffened just because of my washing process-primarily the water that we get in my area is “hard,” whatever that means.
gildan 100% cotton-i think it is the 6.1 oz ultra or whatever they call it. another great shirt. this one performed much like the hanes.
jerzees 100% cotton-not sure exactly which, however, i didn’t like the way it felt after a mere 1 wash. it became pretty rough and had that “cardboard” feel.
hanes heavyweight 50/50-this shirt is something i picked up from the craft store for 2 bones. it actually held up great and i think it’s a good shirt only it doesn’t feel like a quality shirt. the fit is really good and it has a decent feel to it.
hanes comfort soft tagless undershirt-ha! i bought a pack of 5 of these from wal-mart just because i was anxious to print some more. they work great only they shrunk pretty good in the wash and scrunched up the design just a tad. other than that those things are so nice and soft and light.
those are the shirts i have tested on so far and i don’t like any of them really. although the gildan, considering availability, cost, durability and quality is one of the best starter shirts out there, i don’t even want that. i want the softest damn fashionable tee out there. i’m not trying to be a salesman for my average shirts. that’s why i have went back to the net.
i just today ordered an anvil 100% organic, a jerzees 50/50…
let me pause there. the reason i went for this jerzees although i just had a not-so-great experience with a different one of theirs is because i popped on one of my old soccer shirts, probably from about 8 years ago and i checked the tag and shit, it was a jerzees. i would never have thought! after an underestimated 100 washes, this shirt still has it’s design front and back 100% and is so nice soft and well fitting to an athletic physique. BINGO!
okay, so i also ordered a gildan blend (50/50 cotton/poly) because i believe that poly makes a softer tee and another gildan ultra for the hell of it. i also ordered some female shirts; a jerzees 50/50, anvil 2×1 tank and an american apparel 1×1 tank.
let me tell you, female shirts are a lot more expensive than mens. it’s probably because of the fit, you know, tapers and stuff like that.
sooooo. i have sold a couple of my prototype shirts for $10 each. i’m hoping for that to be my final price even after buying expensive $5 organic shirts… >.< ouch! oh well. maybe i’ll raise it; only time will tell.
